January Trout fishing

On Jan. 19th, we launched from Jensen causeway. We had a light west wind, and I ran north to the west bank of the river. We got a late start on the morning, starting to fish around nine thirty or ten. We began with a small snook, but quickly got into a cloud of trout. Every cast we had a trout ranging from twelve inchs to twenty four inchs. We most have caught thirty two or thirty three trout. I also caught a very large pompano, four and a half pounds. And in between quality bites, we had action from jacks and ladyfish.  All in all not a bad day from a late start.
