Inshore Fishing in the wind |
|
We had a late afternoon trip last night, and did about average. We launched from Jensen Causeway and immediatley ran north to the east bank, to try to hide from the wind. Started out with a few small snook, and saw two or three juvenille tarpon rolling. Then we picked up and ran south, fishing the bank with top water plugs, we picked up some very nice trout and a decent snook. Once the sunset, we ran to a couple favored docklights in the area, where we ended up with a eight or nine, four to six pound trout and about a dozen more snook, all on light tackle. All of which was very nice spite the windy conditions we had.
